Dorothy Taylor Werner passed away on Aug. 18 in Cottonwood, Ariz. Dorothy was born on July 29, 1921, in Jackson and grew up in the Kelly-Jackson area. She was the last remaining member of the Taylor family who grew up in the Taylor homestead near Kelly. The homestead had been featured in the movie Shane. Dorothy left the valley in the late 1950’s. She was not related to any of the Taylors currently in Jackson. Dorothy was the oldest sister of Rich Taylor and Echo Taylor’s sister-in-law.
