Journeys School plans open houses next week

By Amanda H. Miller, Jackson Hole, Wyo.
August 15, 2009

The Journeys School will host two open houses next week.

Students and faculty will tell the community about the private school for children in kindergarten through 12th grade.

A group will meet with people who want to know more from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Wildwood Room, 411 Lupin Lane, in Victor, Idaho.

On Tuesday, the community is invited to the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools, 700 Coyote Canyon, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A brief informational session hosted by students will be followed by campus tours at the Jackson open house, Head of School Nate McClennen said.

“It’s an opportunity to introduce the community to our school,” McClennen said. “We always find that a lot of people have driven by our campus, but they’ve never actually been up to it.”

For those who can’t make it to the open house, tours of the school are always available, McClennen said. Anyone interested should contact the school’s admissions director.

The open house is a good way to find out a little more about the students and how the school works, McClennen said.
