Rally to show support for health care reform

From Staff Reports, Jackson Hole, Wyo.
November 2, 2009

Teton County Democrats and a new advocacy group are staging a rally Tuesday to support health care reform.

The party and Wyoming for Health Care Reform say Congress must pass a strong public option to end insurance monopolies, end medical bankruptcies, stop insurance denials and cancellations, and make health care affordable.

“Health care is a human right, and it is time to speak up for it,” said Marcia Kunstel, chairwoman of the Teton County Democratic Party, in a release.

“Tell our congressional delegation to represent us, not lobbyists,” said Vance Carruth, one of the founders of Wyoming for Health Care Reform.

The rally will begin at noon at the southwest corner of Town Square.

For information, visit www.tetondems.org or call Kunstel, 734-7788.
