Wilson Elementary School will host a ski and sports gear swap from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the building’s gym.
The event features winter gear such as parkas, snow boots, skis and snowboards, as well as camping gear, backpacks and bikes.
Although shoppers can find a host of gear for youths, there also will be equipment for adults.
“I think one of the great things about ski swaps is they are the ultimate in reusing and recycling,” event coordinator Les Gibson said. “They are good for the community.”
Twenty percent of an item’s sale price goes to the Wilson Parent Teacher Organization, which then uses the money to support the school’s winter sports program. A $1 donation is requested for entry.
Gear check-in runs from 3 to 6 p.m. today in the school gym. Unsold gear and returns from sold items are available at 11 a.m. Saturday following the swap.
A ski swap in Teton Valley starts today. The Teton Valley Ski Education Foundation’s swap is 4 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Driggs Community Center. Entry costs $5 Friday and $2 Saturday.
