Two more valley residents applied for a spot on the Teton County Planning Commission, bringing the final number to 12.
The county reported Wednesday that Jay Varley and Tracey Lamb submitted applications. The applications were submitted late Tuesday, the last day to apply.
Varley and Lamb join builder Peter Stewart, who lives north of Jackson, and Wilsonite Claire Fuller as the last to apply.
Stewart is a longtime valley resident who has often been outspoken on planning issues, particularly affordable housing.
Fuller ran for county commissioner in 2008 on the Democratic ticket but lost.
Other applicants include Ray Elser, a real estate agent and former town planning commissioner; Greg Epstein, a valley native and “green builder”; and Tim Carney, also a builder.
Former county Planning Commissioners Mark Newcomb, Susan Garlow and Kasey Mateosky also hope to return to seats.
Other applicants are David Quinn, who works on Melody Ranch projects, and Samuel Harrell.
The seats are open because the terms of Commissioners Larry Hamilton and Joe Palmer are expiring. Hamilton and Palmer did not reapply.
The Teton County Board of Commissioners makes appointments to the planning commission. All seats are three-year terms that begin Jan. 1.
