No charges in Neal death
A prosecutor will not charge a driver who struck and killed a Wilson teen training alongside the road in Maine because he said there is not enough evidence to show the motorist was reckless or negligent. That decision has left Willie Neal’s family “disappointed and disillusioned,” Neal’s mother says.
Angels everywhere
Each December, Jo Sturnholm unpacks a fleet of winged decorations. Dozens of angels adorn her Christmas tree, tables and ledges. A special paper angel that belonged to her grandfather holds a special place atop her tree.
Dear Santa ...
First-graders in Teton County are a thoughtful bunch. They generally inquire after the reindeer and Mrs. Claus before listing their wishes. Maddie Hagengruber, of Moran, wants headbands for herself and her sisters. Gabe Fisher, of Wilson, wants a “jrbl.” If they all get their wishes, Santa’s sleigh will be loaded with puppies, dolls, light sabers and XBox 360s on Thursday night.
Fearsome foursome
Skiers Jess McMillan, Crystal Wright and Griffin Post and snowboarder Matt Annetts will represent Jackson in the elite, invitation-only 2010 Freeride World Tour.
Rodeo crooner
Teka Brock got her start singing the national anthem at open rodeos in which she would compete. On Monday and Tuesday, she brings her music to the Mangy Moose Saloon.
