Every week the Jackson Hole Daily looks at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce’s lodging barometer of bookings for the week ahead, which the chamber compiles Wednesday afternoon and posts online Thursday morning. Comparisons are made according to percent change, rather than the difference in percentage points.
Bookings around the Hole starting this coming weekend are up nicely from this past weekend and show improvement over the same time in 2012.
Teton Village looks to have a lucrative week, with occupancy estimated at 90 percent starting Saturday, up from just 64 percent for the week past. Village occupancy was at 77 percent in the same week last year.
Downtown Jackson figures are also up over last week, with forecasted occupancy for the coming weekend at 66 percent, up from 52 percent this past weekend.
The figure for the coming week is down slightly from the 70 percent recorded last year for the same time.
Total occupancy around the county is estimated at 66 percent starting Saturday, up from 53 percent last week, and up from 60 percent the same week in 2012.
