Seniors can get flu shots, info on Medicare
Circling the Square By Ceci Clover Date: October 1, 2008 At 11:30 a.m. today, the Senior Center of Jackson Hole will host free blood pressure checks and also have someone available to answer questions about Medicare. From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Senior Center will hold the annual flu shot clinic. Flu shots will be given by Public Health nurses. Please remember to bring your Medicare card. Cost without Medicare is $15. At 8 a.m. on Thursday, the Rec Center will take a group of seniors to Old Faithful. The trip costs $13. For reservations, call 739-9025. From 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, the Senior Center will have free 15-minute chair massages. For an appointment, call the Senior Center. At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, seniors will be playing Nintendo Wii games at the Senior Center. St. John’s Medical Center invites you to the next “Lite Lunch” educational program. On Oct. 14, join Dr. Richard Ofstein for a discussion on breast cancer screenings. Dr. Ofstein is a board-certified radiologist with a certificate of added qualifications in Neuroradiology. He completed his residency at UCLA in 1984 and was in private practice in Los Angeles before joining Jackson Hole Medical Imaging in 2005. The discussion will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the Moose-Wapiti Classrooms at St. John’s Medical Center. Call 739-7244 for information. River Rock Lodge hosted a wonderful lunch recently of a feast prepared by a great chef and his exceptional staff.
