Date: January 16, 2013 Park wolves decline Natural mortality and hunting combined to reduce Yellowstone National Park’s wolf population by an estimated 20 to 28 percent during the past year. A Wyoming Game and Fish Department statute makes the status of Grand Teton National Park’s wolves hazy. Two Jackson Hole skiers will compete this month in the 2013 Special Olympics World Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea: Alex Moreno, an eighth-grader who loves launching off Rendezvous Mountain’s summit, and Mona Sobieski, 45, who has competed in Special Olympics for 30 years. The Jackson Hole Moose Hockey team swept DAS Fort Collins last weekend. The team battled back from a deficit Saturday night to take the game to yet another shootout. Academy Award nominations are out, and Jackson movie fans can see four of the Best Picture nominees this week.
