Volunteers will hold a food drive “s’can’venger hunt” next week to benefit the Jackson Cupboard.
More than 70 volunteers from Noble House Hotels and Resorts will conduct the drive Wednesday, splitting into teams to collect contributions across town. They aren’t familiar with the area, hence the event’s name.
“It’s just kind of a hunt for donations,” said Rachel Daluge, the Cupboard’s operations director.
She said about 30 businesses and organizations have signed up so far, including the Jackson Hole Airport, Four Seasons, The Wort Hotel and St. John’s Medical Center. The food pantry is inviting other interested groups to participate.
To do so, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“It’s turning out to be pretty awesome,” Daluge said. “I would love to do this every year now. I think it’s going to be a really fun event.”
The Cupboard needs nonperishable food and other household items like cleaning and cooking supplies, toilet paper, diapers and pet food.
