Officials recovered the body of a 56-year-old Jackson man from Adams Canyon south of town last Sunday.

Coroner Brent Blue said David McIntosh died by suicide. Members of the Teton County Sheriff’s Office and Teton County Search and Rescue responded after receiving a call around 4:30 p.m. from a hiker who had found McIntosh on a trail just above the water tank in the canyon, Patrol Sgt. Kurt Drumheller said.

Officials are still investigating the death.
