The boys and lady Broncos basketball teams both fell to Riverton High School. The girls lost 48-17 while the boys lost 68-66 in OT.

The Wes Barron Speed Series was cut short this year. Races on Friday, Saturday and two-thirds of Sunday were canceled due to weather. However, the 16-and-under boys were able to compete in Thursday’s super-G races.

The U18 boys and U19 girls Jackson Youth Hockey teams hosted teams from Casper and Gillette, respectively. The boys beat the Casper Oilers 6-3 and the girls tied the Gillette Grizzlies 2-2.

The gymnasium at Jackson Hole High School was packed Friday night with Broncs and Braves fans as the boys basketball teams battled it out on the court. Jackson, ranked 6th, came out on top defeating the 4th-ranked Star Valley 73-65.

A Teton County Search and Rescue helicopter flies up the track of a large, human-caused avalanche on the west side of Albright Peak in Grand Teton National Park. A snowboarder caught in the slide survived but had to be airlifted from the scene due to injuries suffered in the incident.

It was deja vu all over again on Saturday as the Moose beat the Colorado visitors a fourth straight time, 12-6, with the help of former NHL star David Booth to move to 8-0 this season (Jackson beat Vail twice on the road on Dec. 2-3.)
