Most news stories do wait until the following week to post the story for the photo they publish today. Makes sense. From what I've seen, publications do that when they are either too lazy to do the reporting, or want the actual news to be lost in the pages with the other garbage because they don't like the view point of the side they're writing about.

Thanks for expressing your concerns, Jak. It looks like you are commenting from out of state, so this gives us an opportunity to explain our news products.

Our valley's primary local news source is the Jackson Hole News&Guide, a weekly newspaper, which comes out each Wednesday. The News&Guide is the valley's paper of record and where locals go for the most complete and in-depth coverage of events in the community.

We also publish shorter versions of breaking news online and in the Jackson Hole Daily when we can, and that's what we have done with this event, as well as with other breaking news events. We have an excellent news team that works overtime to be able to present both the quick coverage you saw, as well as the more in-depth coverage that provides value to our community.

If you aren't already a subscriber, we invite you to do so -- it's just $1 a week and will give you access to the type of more in-depth coverage it sounds like you are looking for.

Hi, Jak. A photograph appeared on the front page of the the Sept. 15 Jackson Hole Daily from this event, and the caption for that photo told readers to refer to the Sept. 16 edition of the Jackson Hole News&Guide (our weekly newspaper) for a story. Here's a link to that story: https://www.jhnewsandguide.com/news/cops_courts/a-rally-for-the-good-cops-group-gathers-on-town-square-for-pro-police-rally/article_54ba4938-02cf-5234-a719-75189914137a.html

That's it? End of story? Post a few pictures and call it good. Why didn't the reporter do some investigative reporting and get a few of these people's opinions. I bet there was no harassment of people and I bet you no vandalism occurred at this event. What a difference.
