Wyatt Loudenslager, seen here with his 1,341-pound baby, Cocoa, is in his second year in 4-H. He has been raising Cocoa since October. This was another record-breaking year for the livestock auction, which garnered $859,223 from 97 sale lots, a 3% jump from last year.

Exhibit Hall's last hurrah
Hal Johnson, 85, greets visitors with a warm smile Wednesday afternoon while working security for the Blue Ribbon Exhibit Hall. Johnson took over security duties four years ago when his wife, Elsie, of 56 years, passed away from cancer. She had occupied that same spot, safe guarding the prize winners for at least a decade. This will be the Exhibit Hall’s last Blue Ribbon Exhibit as it is set to be demolished. “It’s sad to start losing all of our heritage,” Johnson said. “It’s a shame.”
