Pro skier Parkin Costain narrowly escaped being caught in an avalanche while skiing an unknown slope recently. Just after the slide breaks loose, Costain backflips off a ledge and over the carnage, then outraces the avalanche to safety.

Costain is a professional Big Mountain Freeride skier based in Big Sky, Montana, who has been a regular at the Kings and Queens of Corbet's event at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, winning the crown in 2020. He competed in his first IFSA event at age nine.
