THE AUGUST ENPLANEMENT COUNT AT Jackson Hole Airport totaled 65,366, a hefty 13% increase over August 2018. August 2019’s enplanement count was the highest monthly total in the airport’s history. During the fiscal year ending in August, 444,600 people boarded a commercial flight at Jackson Hole Airport, 16% more than the number who boarded during the previous 12 months. That marked the busiest 12-month period in the airport’s history and is the 11th such record-setting month in the past 12. Between 2008 and 2018 the airport’s commercial enplanements increased a total of 26%. Year to date in 2019, they have increased 19%.

IN AUGUST, RECREATIONAL VISITS TO Grand Teton National Park totaled 702,022, up 3% from August 2018. During the fiscal year ending in August, 3,467,070 people paid a recreational visit to Teton park, 2% more than the number who visited during the previous 12 months. Year to date, the park’s recreational visitation count is down 1%. Between 2008 and 2018, Grand Teton’s visitation increased 40%, a compounded annual rate of 3.4%.

RECREATIONAL VISITS TO YELLOWSTONE National Park in August totaled 820,006, up 1% from August 2018. During the fiscal year ending in August, 4,093,456 people paid a recreational visit to Yellowstone, up 2% from previous 12 months. Year to date, the park’s recreational visitation count is down 1%. Between 2008 and 2018 visitation increased 32%, a compounded annual rate of 2.8%.
