Thirty-five homes along the greens at Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis are receiving new roofs, which will be the last wood shake roofs allowed in neighborhoods bordering public lands at risk of wildfires.

The project was one of the last to be grandfathered in before a new ban on the roofing material went into effect March 1, 2021. Permits for the project were approved in February 2021, according to Samantha Garcia, office manager for 307 Imperial Roofing, which is handling the project.
