A man was arrested for DUI around 1 a.m. Friday for almost blowing through an emergency scene when officers were helping direct traffic while firefighters responded to a smoke alarm at The Wort Hotel. The 22-year-old also had his cellphone in his hand, which is against town ordinance. The man blew a .218% and was booked for DUI.

A 64-year-old was pulled over Friday around 11:30 p.m. when he didn’t yield for an ambulance. The man continued to drive in the way of the ambulance while officers tried to get him to pull over, reports stated. Officers suspected the man was drunk but he refused to do a field sobriety test. They arrested him on a DUI charge anyway.

Officers responded to a fight at The Rose on Saturday just before 1 a.m. that apparently started over a cigarette. Police said the fight involved a woman and two men. When officers tried to detain one of the men he resisted so they arrested him for interference. Police are still looking into who started the fight.

A drunk man passed out on a bus stop bench at 2:46 a.m. Saturday. Officers said the man didn’t know where he was. The 31-year-old was arrested for public intoxication.

A drunk man was caught stealing a pile of coats from the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar just after midnight on Sunday. The man was so drunk he was given a medical evaluation before police booked him for public intoxication.

A 21-year-old Castle Rock, Colorado, woman was arrested for DUI at 12:12 a.m. on Sunday. Officers pulled her over for going 38 mph in a 25 zone and gave her field sobriety tests because she smelled like beer.

Police arrested a man for stealing snowboards from a man’s truck. When the victim reported the thefts the suspect happened to be nearby, reports stated, and officers checked Facebook and saw the stolen snowboards in one of the man’s videos. The suspect said he was just cleaning the snowboards for the victim because they looked better without stickers, but the 26-year-old Idaho Falls, Idaho, man was arrested for burglary.

On Thursday at 11:45 a.m. officers responded to Super 8 parking lot for a report of someone screaming inside a car. Four officers responded, expecting something serious, but it was just some kids waiting for their parents. But the car smelled like marijuana and there were some pipes in plain view, police said. The owner of the car was cited and released for possession of marijuana. “If you’re going to buy it, smoke it or keep it in your car you can expect that when a police officer pulls you over that you’ll be driving away with more than a traffic ticket,” Jackson police Lt. Roger Schultz said.

A drunk man at the Jackson Hole Airport fell facedown and hurt himself at his gate on Thursday. The 65-year-old refused medical treatment and blew a .313%. The man was medically evaluated and arrested for public intoxication.
