Since 1982, artist Rob Pudim has been bringing his sense of humor, insight and skepticism to the drawing board, penning weekly editorial cartoons for the Jackson Hole News&Guide and its predecessor, the Jackson Hole News.
Raised in a Pennsylvania coal town, drafted into the Vietnam War and educated in chemistry and philosophy, Pudim developed a sympathy for the underdog, the disenfranchised, the downtrodden. He embraces the old newspaper adage “Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.”
Here are his greatest hits of 2022, accompanied by the most memorable “Quote of the Week” selections, chosen by News&Guide staff.
Editor in Chief Johanna Love has covered the Jackson Hole community as part of the News&Guide staff since 1998. She took the helm of the newsroom in 2017. She fields story tips and kudos as well as criticism and questions.
