Update 11:45 a.m. The Senate has adjourned after passing bills on second reading. The Senate will reconvene at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

During Tuesday's debate of two controversial bills meant to fight federal vaccine mandates, lawmakers made impassioned pleas and worried that the fight is pitting employees against employers. 

"This does put businesses directly in the crosshairs," Sen. Ogden Driskill warned.
