Recycling bins temporarily moving for fair

Out with the dumpsters and in with the Ferris wheel — for a short period, anyway.

The recycling bins at the Teton County Fairgrounds, located at the corner of Snow King Avenue and Flat Creek Drive, will be unavailable beginning this Friday through Sunday, Aug. 1, to make room for the Teton County Fair.

Bins will return on Monday, Aug. 2, according to a community notice from Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling.

In the meantime, recyclers are asked to use one of the community’s five other collection sites, which are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Bins are also available at the Recycling Center at 3270 S. Adams Canyon Rd.

Community recycling sites are for residential use only.

“During the busy summer season, it is especially important to conserve bin space by flattening your cardboard boxes,” recycling staff said.

Businesses are welcome to utilize bins available at the Recycling Center.

The Teton County Fair packs a horse arena and rides on the rodeo grounds.

Let's replace all the recycling bins with ferris wheels. Sounds more fun.
