Walton Levee

The levee north of Emily Stevens Park, also known as the "Walton Levee," will be closed weekdays from Tuesday to May 4.

Snake River strollers will need to plan ahead and take an alternate route.

The Snake River levee heading north from Emily Stevens Park will be closed to the public on weekdays starting Tuesday for two weeks.

Teton County Road and Levee Department will be driving trucks up and down the levee to haul rip-rap to the county stockpile. The route will be closed between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. through May 4.

The parking lot at Emily’s Pond will remain open, and people can use it to access the pathway bridge across the Snake River and R Park. The levee will be open on weekends.
