Thursday is Thanksgiving, a federal holiday when banks, post offices, government offices and schools close.

Teton County and town of Jackson offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, as will the trash transfer station and recycling center.

Teton County Library will be closed Thursday and Friday, as will the Senior Center of Jackson Hole.

The Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Center will close Thursday but will be open at 6 a.m. Friday.

START won’t operate commuter services Thursday but will run the hourly Town Shuttle service. Service to East Jackson will be suspended during the Turkey Trot from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Friday START will operate one bus to and from Teton Valley, Idaho, at 6:25 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. One bus will run to and from Star Valley at 6:25 a.m. and 5 p.m. Hourly Town Shuttle service and the Green Line will remain unchanged.

Teton Media Works will be closed Thursday but will be open for its regular hours Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Jackson Hole Daily will publish a Thursday-Friday edition on Thursday and the regular weekend edition Saturday.

Elks Lodge 1713 is hosting its traditional Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the lodge, 270 W. Broadway. Turn to the Scene section for the dinner details.
