Veterans Day

Small American flags thanking veterans for their service were handed out during a 2020 Veteran’s Day ceremony.

Today is Veterans Day, a federal holiday to remember those who have served in the U.S. armed forces.

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Town Square, led by American Legion Post 43 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4274. Following the ceremony, the Jackson Police Department will lead a 5K walk, run or ruck event. Participants are asked to bring 35 pounds of nonperishable food to donate.

Town administrative offices will be closed all day today. The trash transfer station and the recycling center will be closed. Teton County Library will be closed. Banks, post offices and many government offices also will be closed.
