Jackson Hole senior distance runner Mac Staryk will be returning home from the 4A state track and field championship meet in Casper with some gold.

The senior claimed the 1,600-meter title in 4 minutes, 22.51 seconds on Saturday, just .25 seconds ahead of Star Valley’s Asefa Wetzel in second place.

The Broncs distance crew claimed both the boys and girls 3,200-meter relay state championships, with the girls team of Andie Cornish, Kate Brigham, Sienna Taylor and Parker Smith going 9:47.56 for the title.
