Broncs defeat Wolves 3-0

The Jackson Hole High School varsity volleyball team celebrates after scoring a point against Green River High School during their first set Friday night. The Broncs defeated the Wolves 3-0.

After falling in three of their last four matches the Broncs volleyball team took down Green River this past Friday, winning the first conference game of their schedule in three straight sets.

Bella Santomauro led the team with 20 kills during the afternoon.

With the large crowd and student section showing up to the match, players noted that energy in the gymnasium worked to give the girls a strong home court advantage.

“It was super exciting to see everyone happy on and off the court, the crowd was cheering super loud and the energy felt positive all around,” said captain Lizzy Robinson. “Having our first conference win of the year was super thrilling and gave us all a lot of confidence for our upcoming games.”

The Broncs next match is set for tomorrow, when the team hosts Pinedale. The first serve is set for 6 p.m. at Jackson Hole High School. There is no admission charge.
