Jackson Hole High School has filled its vacancy for a girls soccer coach, is still searching for a boys golf coach and will now look for a volleyball coach as well.
On Tuesday school Activities Director Mike Hansen announced that volleyball coach Katie Toolson had been relieved of her duties. Hansen said that the move came because “it was time for a change in that program.”
“I’d like to thank coach Toolson for all her time and effort and service to the community,” he said. “It’s greatly appreciated, but we’re looking to make a change at that position.”
Toolson and the Lady Broncs struggled in 4A and failed to win a conference game over the past two seasons. The search for her replacement will begin soon, Hansen said.
Golf coach Mike Witz retired following the conclusion of the golf season in September after 19 seasons at the helm. Hansen expects to interview coaching candidates for that position in “two to three weeks.”
Jackson’s girls soccer coach Tom Ralston resigned his post in October after 19 seasons. His longtime assistant, Kristen Pizarro, will replace him.
