Kings and Queens 2022

Hans Mindnich was crowned King of Corbet’s for 2022. He’d come in second two previous years.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort crowned two new winners of Kings and Queens of Corbet’s, a contest that on Thursday featured 23 skiers and snowboarders hucking off of the resort’s most notorious feature, Corbet’s Couloir.

Hans Mindnich and Piper Kunst won the titles of King and Queen at an awards party Friday night.

Kunst, of South Park, Colorado, won the crown in her very first year competing in the event, now in its fifth season.

Mindnich, a Stowe, Vermont, native, earned the top spot in the competition after second place finishes in both the 2020 and 2021 events.

Juliette Willman finished in second place for the women, with Molly Armanino rounding out the top three. On the men’s side, Yuki Kadono earned a second place finish, with Parker Costain taking third.

Mindnich and Kunst each won $10,000 for their first-place victory, while Kadono and Willman earned $5,000 for their respective second place finishes, and Costain and Armanino, $3,000.
