Climbing set for disabled kids

Courageous Kids Climbing is hosting a free opportunity for kids with disabilities at Teton Rock Gym in Driggs, Idaho, on Oct. 23. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon.

Event coordinators are also seeking volunteer coaches and belayers as well as non-climbing volunteers to help with registration. First responders, including members of the military, are also encouraged to come out to mentor the climbers.

Interested parties can sign up by emailing to receive a registration packet.

Bronc Bash is coming soon

Mark your calendars: The 2021 Jackson Hole High School football team will host its annual Bronc Bash event on Aug. 20 to kick off the season. The event will begin at 6 p.m. from either the football stadium (if the track is finished) or the south synthetic track.

The carnival-like event is open to all ages and will be run by Broncs players. Games and contests include tug-of-war, a football toss competition, giant four square, a watermelon eating contest and more.

At the conclusion of the event the team will hold an intersquad scrimmage for attendees to cheer on the team.

Admission to the event is a nonperishable food item that the team can donate to the local food bank.
