Police Blotter

Deputies spotted a car parked in the Jackson Hole High School parking lot at 9:30 p.m. May 11, so they stopped to see what the people in the vehicle were up to. The underage boys were drinking White Claw Hard Seltzer and smoking marijuana, according to the Teton County Sheriff’s Office. A 20-year-old Jackson man was cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and another 20-year-old Jackson man was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol. A third person was released without citations.

Officers are investigating a shoplifting incident reported May 11 at ACE Hardware. Someone took $37 worth of mulch last weekend without paying.

On Saturday at 3 p.m. Teton County deputies stopped a car for going 72 in a 55 mph zone on Highway 191 near Camp Creek. A deputy smelled marijuana coming from the car. Less than 3 ounces was found after a K-9 alerted. The 27-year-old admitted the pot was his and was cited for possession of marijuana and released.
