Winter dog park

Kyle and Juliane Farlow pet their dog, Pako, a goldendoodle, while Grover, a Bernedoodle, and Piper, an Italian mastiff, come over to play at the winter dog park in November 2020 at Teton County Fairgrounds. The seasonal dog park is set to be open until May 1 this year.

Grab your leashes and get to the downtown dog park — where you can let your mutt run free.

Parks and Rec opened its seasonal dog park at the Teton County Fairgrounds Monday. The park, a partnership with PAWS of Jackson Hole, typically opens in the fall off season and sticks around through the spring. This year, officials are anticipating keeping the dog park running through May 1, 2022. It is open sunrise to sunset.

PAWS will be providing mutt mitts — you might know them as poop bags — and carting away trash in the area for dog doo doo.

"Please be respectful of others using the facility and clean up after your pet," Parks and Rec said in a Monday press release.
