Sign at south boundary of Grand Teton National Park

Two motorcyclists traveling north along the highway through Grand Teton National Park were hurt Monday morning after crashing near the Albright View Overlook just north of the Jackson Hole Airport.

The incident is under investigation, park spokeswoman Denise Germann said.

“I know there’s probably significant injuries, but that’s all I know,” Germann said Monday.

Both riders, whose bikes had California plates, were transported via an ambulance to St. John’s Health, she said.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision, she said.

Names of the people injured in the crash were withheld by the National Park Service. One person was released from St. John’s, Germann said, and the other person remained in medical care as of mid-afternoon Monday.
