Ride the Divide

Some 25 years ago, Michael “Mac” McCoy began researching and mapping the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route.

Ten years ago, Mike Dion released “Ride the Divide,” a film highlighting the iconic ride.

The bikepacking community will come together virtually at 1 p.m. Sunday to talk all things mountain biking and to catch a screening of Dion’s movie.

“[Dion] has seen all the cancellations of bikepacking events and races just like everything else is being canceled,” McCoy said. “He thought this would be a nice way to get bikepackers together to talk about the creation of the movement.”

Athletes and crew will answer questions in real time during the screening. The live event will include a conversation with McCoy and others who have been integral to the movement.

Tickets cost $10-$20. Go to RtD10.com/event to buy them or for info.
