Jackson Hole vs. Star Valley football

Star Valley High School senior Chase Merrell tackles Jackson wide receiver Peter Goettler during the Braves’ 30-0 victory over the Broncs on Friday night in Afton.

Friday night’s meeting between Jackson and Star Valley was sure to be a clash of two tenacious defenses, and for most of the game it was.

But between a Braves offense that runs as deep as any and a special teams unit that’s nearly perfected the craft — the Broncs defense finally relented for a 30-0 3A West loss in Afton.

Jackson (4-3, 1-2) will look to regroup ahead of its road trip to Evanston next week.
