Tax jump

According to Jonathan Schechter’s Market Watch column, Teton County’s taxable sales for the year ending in September jumped 34.7% from the previous year and for the first time in history exceeded $2 billion in a 12-month period. Retail sales for 12 months ending in September rose 35.7% to cross the $800 million threshold for the first time in one fiscal year.
