Snake River wave

A boat flipped below the Snake River Bridge just north of the Snake River KOA on Friday. A man was pulled from the river at the Snake River KOA and was pronounced dead.

UPDATE 1 p.m.: The man who died after a fishing boat flipped on the Snake River has been identified as 69-year-old George Erwin Roulhac of Greenville, Mississippi, per the Teton County Coroner's Office.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE 12:15 p.m.: Paramedics, deputies and rescue personnel are rushing south of town for a report of a drift boat that flipped on the Snake River.

The call came in just after noon Friday for a person who had been pulled out of the river near the Snake River KOA.

CPR is in progress on a man who reportedly fell out of the fishing boat.

Officials have made contact with everyone who was in the boat.

Conditions of the victims are unknown.
