Fish Creek Road

Sure, it's not summer yet. But Teton County reduced the weight limit on Fish Creek Road and seven others to a 40,000 pound gross vehicle weight. The restriction is in effect "until further notice."

Teton County has reduced the weight limit on eight county roads.

In doing so, it cited Wyoming statute that allows the road and levee department to do so if "the continued operation of vehicles at a certain weight would create undue damage to the county roads or county bridges."

The eight roads in question are: Fall Creek Road, Fish Creek Road/Wilson Square, South Park Loop Road, Boyles Hill Road, Spring Gulch Road, Buffalo Valley Road, Alta Ski Hill Road and Hoback Junction South Road.

All roads will be restricted to a 40,000-pound gross vehicle weight "until further notice," per a press release.

The Teton County Sheriff's Office will enforce the order under Wyoming statute 31-18-805.

People with questions can call the road and levee department at 733-7190.
