Today is your last day to shop at Lucky's Market in Jackson.

The grocery store in Powderhorn Plaza will close at the end of today, five days ahead of the originally announced Feb. 12 closure.

"We've been consolidating a lot of our product," said Charlie Baumgartner, a front-end supervisor. "It's going a lot quicker than we realized."

The store could stay open as late as 6 p.m. today but may shut earlier if there isn't a lot of action.

The Jackson market is one of more than 30 Lucky's that are closing. The parent company has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
