Jackson Hole vs. Lander swim meet

The COVID-19 case rate in Teton County has pushed the Rec Center to implement fall hours and nix weekday family swim time at its aquatic center starting Monday.

The decision was made because of Teton County's high-risk (red) level, according to a press release.

Though weekend family swim time will still be available, the weekday hours for families to use the pool are being curtailed because of youth swim team practice scheduled for the afternoons. The red risk level led the department to reduce capacity in the aquatic center to only allow space for swim team practice.

"Once the risk level for COVID-19 in Teton County lessens, staff hopes to bring back family swim on weekdays," Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation wrote in a press release.

"Staff appreciates the community’s patience," it said.

The Rec Center pool areas hours are as follows:

Open Lap Swim

Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. to noon

Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to noon

Reservation Lap Swim

Monday through Friday: 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (1 hour blocks available)

Family Swim

Saturday and Sunday: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
