Walton Levee

The levee north of Emily Stevens Park, also known as the "Walton Levee," will be closed weekdays Oct. 21 through Nov. 15 for maintenance.

Starting Wednesday, recreationists looking to use the levee north of Emily Stevens Park will have to find other plans during the week.

The levee, also know as the Walton Levee, will close weekdays Oct. 21 through Nov. 15 for rehabilitation work performed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The levee will be open on weekends, beginning at 5 p.m. Fridays and ending on Monday mornings throughout that time period.

Parking at Emily Stevens Park will say open, as will access to the pathway bridge that crosses the Snake River.
