Road work

Road projects on tap.

Road work on Broadway Avenue just west of Town Square will affect traffic next week, a release from the Wyoming Department of Transportation said.

The concrete slab replacement work starts Monday.

“We scheduled the work as late as possible, to avoid peak traffic season, while still getting acceptable curing temperatures,” WYDOT Resident Engineer Bob Hammond said in a statement.

Drivers should expect traffic control, lane closures, restricted turning movements and parking closures near the square. Pedestrians will be required to take a detour.

WYDOT is recommending drivers use the truck route via Milward Street and Mercill Avenue to avoid delays in the Town Square area.

“We understand that this work will be inconvenient for drivers,” Hammond said. “We will be working as quickly as possible to complete the job. We thank the public for their patience.”
