Bio

Jennifer Dorsey is chief copy editor and Business section coordinator. She worked in Washington, D.C., and Chicago before moving to the Tetons.

At the Soroptimists' Christmas Tree Festival at the Virginian Lodge, the "Bells and Berries" tree, decorated by Annika Puchalski, fetched a festival record of $1,000 during the auction. The Soroptimists estimated the festival would raise than $10,000 for the hospital's mammogram unit, the Latino Resource Center and other programs.

Santa arrived on Town Square, where 300 valley residents welcomed him and the holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony. Tom Ninneman, Jennifer Stauth and other community band members played seasonal tunes, and Jackson Mayor Sam Clark switched on the lights.
