SandyNews commented on No free lunch

This will heat things up a bit!

"Rep. Shelly Duncan, R-Goshen, announced that based on “testimony” heard at lunch the day before she wanted to bring back a bill to effectively prevent town and county governments from requiring developers to pay for or bu…

Juicy story, but first of all, who eats at the Pines anyway? Most people assume it's for members. Maybe some advertising would help. If the members don't even eat there however, then the food and service must be abominable. It's hard to imagine a more self-disparaging action on behalf of …

22 units here, 35 units there, 3k ft of commercial, 5k sq ft commercial there, much handwringing, public hearings, rejections, small approvals, what tedious master plan “community feedback” tail wagging dog agony. Lift the building height to 5 stories or allow a high rise to be built into or…

"The bill would still allow towns and counties to create incentives for developers to build affordable housing. For example, Jackson offers additional height and density to those who build one square foot of deed-restricted housing for every two square feet of market-rate housing."…

SandyNews commented on Tribal Trails plan moves forward

“Adding pavement doesn’t help congestion”... might be true for you, but untrue for most everybody else. JH long term growth plan caps population at ~40 k people. Set it up now, or live in increased misery because everybody is a NIMBY. Get ahead now or forever be behind!

I thought the traffickers were the ones that law enforcement wanted to target. This seems like a pretty light slap on the wrist. A guy like this can do a lot of damage to a young population.

If he's been "living in the woods" he might now be quite a bit thinner.
