Brian Nelson

Brian Nelson died Feb. 28 in Alpine. He was 68. His friends and family provided the following.

Brian was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota, on Aug. 9, 1952.

He was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Donna Nelson, and is survived by his younger brother Mark (Teri) and his sister Teri Nelson.

Brian studied art in college and earned his pilot’s license in 1974.

In 1979 he moved to Jackson where he had an eclectic career, working as a doorman at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, stagecoach driver, hunting guide, snowplow driver, antler art salesman, shuttle driver for Davey Hansen Whitewater, and for 10 years at Jackson Hole Airport in firefighting, fueling and rescue. Brian loved Harley-Davidsons and Corvettes. He hated warm beer. Brian was a fine friend and will be missed.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held this spring.
